We had a family vacation and stayed at Casa de Mariposa. It was the most wonderful, relaxing week ever. Everything we needed was provided, from beach chairs to a margarita maker. The location was perfect. It was close to the beach yet away from the crowded area. I would recommend this property to anyone looking for fun and sun.

Casa de Mariposa is a perfect family beach getaway! Accommodations are luxurious, yet still family friendly and comfortable. You truly only need to pack your clothes for this vacation rental. Everything else is so thoughtfully provided--beach towels, beach chairs, beach toys, bikes, helmets, strollers, blender, grill, etc.”

“"Most beautiful place you'll stay at on Siesta!!!"
After vacationing in Siesta Key for the last 30 years, we have finally found the best place to stay! The house is beautiful with tons of thoughtful extras(especially when traveling with a 6 month old;) It is styled to feel fresh and modern, but is comfy and cozy at the same time. Did I mention the margarita machine rocks!!?? The white, sandy beach is the best you will find. Great for morning runs and cathing some rays. And the quaint little village of Siesta Key has some of the best food out there! And it's only a walk away. This was the 2nd year we stayed at the Casa and we will definitely be coming back! Sooo wish I could live there!! Thanks again Bambi for sharing your little piece of heaven!

“"Beautiful Relaxing Vacation"
We have been vacationing in Sarasota, Flordia for many years and this was the most enjoyable vacation we have had. With four kids ages 11-16 the location of this home was perfect. Beach access was great, for the teenagers it was close to town. We would walk to town every day for lunch or dinner and enjoyed it. So much to do too entertain the entire family. The Casa de Mariposa is a beautiful home that allowed us to relax after playing at the beach all day. We will be vacationing here again!”

We had spent weeks looking for the right property to satisfy the needs of our large family for a family reunion. We wanted a property that was on/near the beach, close to shopping and dining - not a remote location, recreational activities available, and adequate sleeping arrangements. According to the rental description, Casa de Mariposa seemed the ideal selection; and when we arrived at the property, our expectations were exceeded! The home was exceptional in every way! We selected the front unit because of the extra balcony which proved to be one of the best features of the property. Our family enjoyed this breezy space with a view of the water for dining, card playing and puzzles. Cooking for the five sons and wives was a joy in a well-stocked kitchen that overlooked the living room. Having bicycles, beach chairs, sports equipment was also a real plus! The beautifully decorated rooms and baths made the weekend even more enjoyable. Casa de Mariposa truly was a HOME away from home!”

“Ah...where to start? The characters allowed on this "little box" can cover everything that I would like to express. It was an excellent vacation from beginning to end. Casa de Mariposa...an unforgettable place, it has every material thing that you could possibly need plus a sense of peace and relaxation that is difficult to describe. We were 7 adults and 1 little one, Casa was special for all. Siesta Key itself...well... that is the center of the universe. Thank you Bambi for having us. I really hope to visit Casa in the near future again and also to meet you someday.”

If you are going to Siesta Key, this is the only place to stay. They have the place fully loaded with toys, bikes, pool stuff, beach chairs, kitchen needs, beach towels, etc. There is literally nothing missing from this place. All the rooms are very nicely furnished and have flat screens TV's. The pool deck has tons of room and is fully furnished as well. We had 10 adults and 6 kids and it was no problem at all. Our group will be going back next year for sure. ”

We just got back from a wonderful trip to Siesta Key where we stayed at Casa de Mariposa (back unit). Everything was as described, and the little extras at the house - baby stroller, toys, coolers, chairs, etc. - just made our stay that much more enjoyable and relaxing. We would recommend Casa to anyone (friend or relative) as it is perfect for a romantic getaway, a family vacation or a group of friends. The location could not be better. We were concerned that we would be on the main public beach, which can be very crowded, but our accessway to the beach was to a nice private area that was quiet and really beautiful! Perfect location, perfect house - perfect vacation! We will be back - Thank you Bambi! ”

I just wish I could find the right words to truly express how thankful and wonderful the week in your home was, but I am afraid there are no such words... Dear Bambi: WOW! Where do I start?! I guess I should start by saying the house was absolutely beautiful, and the location was Great! After the initial rush of the wedding, and the switch ole change ole on Sunday was over I thoroughly enjoyed the rest of the week. I think I best enjoyed waking up, sitting on the veranda with a cup of coffee, relaxing and planning the day in the sun. The easy stroll to the beach, then home to get ready, to walking to supper was very enjoyable because the house was so centrally located to everything. During the week I explored other areas of the coast line and decided that by far I loved right where I was to anything else I had seen. There are not enough words to truly express how thankful I am that I found you, and that your home became apart of my daughters beautiful wedding & honeymoon. Matt, Brian,Mr. Frank and Ms. Gisleine where so helpful during the week with anything and made our stay and transition pleasurable and easy. You have a wonderful staff and I commend you for them. I didn’t get to tell them Thank You before we left and I hope you will pass on to them how much I do appreciate them. ”

Casa de Mariposa is an immaculately clean, beautifully updated, warm and fun home for a family get away. From the elevator, the magnificent views, the gorgeous bedrooms and modern kitchen, the owner has thought of everything! Whether you are from another county or a native Floridian you will feel like you landed in an amazing resort! My kids rated it a 10+ !!!

Bambi.. We had a FABULOUS time. Your home, I should say palace, was extraordinarily comfortable, obviously well situated to both the beach and town, and best of all was "loaded" with all the goodies a family could ask for. My 18 month old granddaughter just adored the red flyer..I must have pulled her up and down the beach a hundred miles! My thirty year old and his new bride cruised around on the double bicycle. Lorri and I just relaxed in the sand chairs. The appliances in the home were great; everyone made their own breakfasts without having to run out. The family room was wonderful, allowing us to keep an eye on the little one, while keeping ourselves relaxed. Frank was the best.. I called him a number of times with small requests and questions, and he was extremely helpful...a very proud Floridian, ex New Yorker. He turned off the AC for us when it got too chilly, etc. We were raving about what a good time we had. Please read Lorri's poem in the guest book. We think you have created a most special place in honor of your daughter, and we were glad to be part of it for even four days. I'm looking forward to returning with more of my family soon. I want to thank you 100000 times for the warmness of your house. We felt at home. Siesta Key is in my heart, but now is even in my friends heart.
We spent hours looking for a defect, or something wrong in our stay. We found all great. no one wrong aspect in the building, in the rooms, in the amenities, the bikes.
My english is not enough rich in words to describe sensations and feelings. Thank you!

"Una casa da sogno. un'atmosfera da 5 stelle superior.
Bella l'architettura, la divisione degli spazi, la ricercatezza delle decorazioni, le finiture, gli elettrodomestici (dal tostapane alla lavastoviglie, dal forno classico al forno a microonde o al fornetto per colazione, dalla lavatrice all' asciugatrice)
E poi la piscina, il barbeque, il comodo doppio garage, l'ascensore.
Casa de Mariposa promette molto più di quello che si può credere. C'è amore e gusto in ogni dettaglio.
Bici, (anche il tandem), risciò, passeggini per bambini, giochi da spiaggia, freesbi, racchettoni.
Persino i teli da mare, le borse da mare (per signori e signore). è la casa dei desideri, a soli 20 mt da una spiaggia mozzafiato!

My family and I began 2010 with a weeklong relaxing vacation at Casa de Mariposa and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves.(All 9 0f us) I only wish we could have stayed longer. The home was beautiful and everything you could want or need was available. The views of the beach and the sunsets were my favorite part. We had a Luau BBQ Party on Friday, the wedding on Saturday and a brunch on Sunday!!!...the house was perfect for it!!!...we got married just across the street at beach access #10...we loved the house, the location and of course we loved Frank!!!
